Hi everyone...
I've got a little problem creating a FT-Table on one on my db-Tables...
On the first try, I was able to create the catalog and everything, but then the MSSearch-Engine did nothing (not same User as SQL-Server as I read in groups), I've changed this - but then the Catalog was Status 'Recovering' for about a week...
After that I've tried to delete it - but what I got was a locked table and nothing happening.
Currently it seems that some files are deleted (on the drive) but the catalog still exists (but I still can't delete it for real)...
Second try...
I've created a new catalog for the same Table (should work w/o the user-problem - the old one's still existing)... but now the wizard hangs up on 'Step 1: Creating full-text catalog 'Table'...'
I've waited for about 10 Hours now, and still no change...
In the .ghr Files of the new catalog I just get the windows Script Host header, nothing else...
Anyone has a clue?
Thanks for any Post!:mad:What do you mean by create catalog?
SQL Server manages this all by itself?
Gotta be something different that we are discussing here...no?|||Originally posted by Brett Kaiser

In Enterprise Manager you can create a new full-text catalog on a table, I've ment that...
It should do all by itself - if it would work in my case :)|||noone?|||I've found the anwer to the problem:
I'm running win2k german, so the adminiatrator group is called 'Administratoren' not 'Administrators' - MSSearch has a registry key wich contains this value .. I've changed it to the german value, and now everything works fine...
